BurrowingOwl makes a valid point, we knew that Troy & ULL would be very tough series going in, and when a team is not healthy that need to make adjustment on the fly is not always easy, especially against he best teams that make you pay for every mistakes.

The season is not over by any means, the road will just be a bit more difficult if we are to make regional, one game at a time, one series at a time.

Again walks and wild pitches gave ULL way to many scoring changes.

Without putting extra pressure on the guys, we need to stop the bleeding with a victory today and salvage this series, gettting sweeped in back-to-back series will hurt - didn't help that will had to play the top two teams on consecutive weekends.

Good teams find a way to battle through these hard losses.

you both are absolutely right… the only problem is you are discounting the significance of being swept by troy and perennially (is that a word?) being swept by ULL

it establishes that we are clearly #3 in the belt (if that) and that there is a HUGE gap between 1, 2 and the rest of the belt

NOT TO MENTION we have not played middle tennessee or south bama yet… and though MTSU is not exactly "the power" of the belt, no one can sit here and say our rotation is in the shape where we can go through the schedule and CHECK MARK ANY belt game as a definite-win… there is not one team in conference that i am confident about beating right now…

so i agree, the season is salvagable (is that a word? i am making up words as i go on, aren't i?), but we need some key wins and we need them NOW… that means, our bullpen needs to wake up and start pitching the ball, as opposed to throwing the ball

A difficult road lies ahead to be sure, but you can't give-up on the season yet, what message would that send to the players if the fans have given-up. I am sure the players are fully aware of the situation and will be up to them to turn the season around.

I noticed FIU beat Troy yesterday and they seem to be slowly creeping up in total games and they are 2-3 in SBC. It would be nice to see a win today.

By the way did anyone notice who else is 2-6 in the conference-South Alabama. As of now theyd fail to make the conference tourney also. Imagine the blow that would be to the SunBelt to have the host team fail to make it in BAseball. Remmeber how empty the basketball tournament was without the hosts-it will be just as bad for baseball if not worse attendance wise. But fortunately its early and I expect they(And us for that matter) will turn things around to make the tourney
