I switch to the extra-cost ESPNU and see …. what? …. college lacrosse!
It looks like I can buy the game via DirecTV, but this is really an outrage.
ESPN, you stink!
Well, the game came on 15 minutes late on Channel 210 (DirecTV), not 209 as indicated in the schedule. But at least I can see it now.
FAU looks very shaky and nevous. But the fans seem pretty loud.
Go Owls!

That's a strange arena, with some of the fans lower than the court and the team benches in the end zones. Oddly, I was denied a photo pass (and therefore didn't go) because there would allegedly not be enough spots for me along the strangely set up court (the sidelines are below the playing surface). Photography sports are seriously curtailed by the team benches, cheerleaders and such. Yet, I can count at least eight open rectangles (one per shooter) at this game. (Edit: Later, my daughter counted 14 open shooting positions.) So much for that excuse.
FAU started very shaky and nervous, then ramped it up and led for about half the half. But then the Owls started making awful, rushed - even wild - shots and LSU went on a 20-0 run. FAU was further hurt by numerous steals and poor passes which resulted in LSU fast breaks.
LSU's top shooter - who started hitting everything she fired up - has at least two fouls.
FAU's top shooter, Williams, had only six points just before the half.
But the Owls did try to get it together toward the end of the first half, getting some foul shots and a basket or two. I got the feeling they had made some adjustments and the coach Dugan told the TV crew the half that the Owls would come back in the second half.
Finally, why isn't this game on WLVJ?
LSU leads 35-18 at the half.
