Owls Drop Finale To Jags

Owls Drop Finale To Jags

The Jaguars needed just five RBI's to plate nine runs in six innings, including scoring six times in the sixth to break open a tight game, taking game three from Florida Atlantic 9-3.

David Wilson hit a solo homer in the third and his RBI double in the fifth cut the lead to 3-2 before USA's six-run sixth. FAU starter Adam Morrison factored into his first decision of the year, a loss which dropped him to 0-1.

USA took advantage of three fielding errors, a catcher's interference and two wild pitches to build a 9-2 lead. The Owls would finish the afternoon with five errors.

Adam Heisler had three of the Jaguars' 12 hits and David Doss added a double, his 12th.

Mike Albaladejo made his third straight start behind the plate and went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles. Nick DelGuidice doubled and joined Albaladejo and Wilson with a two-hit afternoon. The trio accounted for six of FAU's seven hits off Sage.
