Weston Clemente takes the mound for Stewart (1.1IP, 0H, 0R, 1B, 1K) with two on in the 6th.

The Monarchs get aggressive attempting to bring in a run and see the runner ejected after a collision at the plate.

Shouppe smacks the Owls fifth double of the contest but he is left on as well.

Abraham throws out a runner on a steal attempt to end the Monarchs side in the 7th.

Austin Langham sends his 5th homer of the year over the wall in right field and the Owls expand their lead to three runs.

Clemente remains on the mound.

Clemente (2.1IP, 3H, 0R, 0BB, 3K) serves up his third strikeout before being replaced by Drew Peden with one out and two on. Peden gets the job done with back-to-back ground outs on six pitches.

The Owls go in order to close out the eighth.

The Monarchs tie it up with a three run homer, which was only Peden's second of the year.

That breaks a four inning scoreless stretch from Old Dominion.

Peden gives up the winning run courtesy of a single to center, as the Monarchs take a 9-8 lead.

The Owls will have Kerr, Frank, and Miranda due up to try and force extras.

FINAL:

Miranda makes for the third fly out of the side, and the Monarchs win game two after a four run 9th inning.

Drew Peden will suffer the loss dropping to 4-2 on the season.

Eric Rivera tallies a team high 3RBI, with Kerr producing two. Jordan Poore had two doubles.

The Monarchs secure a second place finish in the C-USA standings with the win.

Florida Atlantic (32-19-1, 17-12) will look to salvage a series win tomorrow at 1:00 PM in game three before heading into tournament play next Wednesday.

The one weakness of this team came back to bite in the behind again. We should easily be sitting on top of C-USA. The arms have been an issue all season. Too bad. Great job of producing against ODU's ace.
