Inside the Blue Raiders Dugout
- [li]The Blue Raiders did not record a hit until the sixth inning when they broke out for four runs. [/li]
[li]MTSU broke the game open in the eighth scoring six more runs and effectively chasing FAU starter Mike Gipson.[/li]
[li]Chad Edwards pitched brilliantly and earned his fourth victory of the season. Pitch for eight innings while allowing five runs off eight hits with three walks and seven strikeouts.[/li]

Inside the Owls Dugout
- [li]It was the first time the Owls incurred a loss during a Saturday game in a 10-6 loss to Middle Tennessee State.[/li]
[li]Raymond hit his second home run of the game in the 9th, a three-run shot, to bring FAU within 10-6. Church went 2-for-4 with two home runs, and four RBI.[/li]
[li]Dan Scheffler hit his seventh home run of the season in the 6th, a two run shot which brought the Owls to within 4-3 of the Blue Raiders.[/li]
[li]Mike Gipson held the Blue Raiders hit-less through five inning, until a couple mistakes finally open the flood gates for the Raider offense.[/li]

Quote of the Day: From Coach John McCormack
“We can’t give a good hitting team that many opportunities."
"In this park the margin for error for those left hand hitters, especially the ones that pull the ball right down the line is not much. There's not much room for error the way the winds blows here. Their guy [Burnett] did what he was suppose to do, got a good swing on it and he fouled off some very good pitches to get him to that and did what he was suppose to do."
"I didn't expect them to hit Gib's around like that. I didn't think he was real sharp, but he was getting outs. That team is like blood and water, they smelt it and Burnett hit that home run and got their team going and wakes the team up."

Quote of the Day: From Blue Raider Coach Steve Peterson
"Once we got to Gipson he made some mistakes and got some balls up and we got some good extra base hits. Guidry's home run was huge and the way the wind is blowing the ball is really going to go to right field. He got one up and down the line and that really got us going, we have been a big inning team this year but the bottom of the order did some manufacturing in those two innings and I was very proud to see that. For five innings it was really bad from the seventh, eighth and ninth spots down."
"What a great pitching match-up for five innings. Everything we heard about Mike Gipson was fulfilled and he was eating our lunch. I am not from Boca Raton but this is the first time we have been in any kind of humidity and I can see where Roberts had to get a second wind early. I talked to Chad about it and we adjusted his pregame a little bit but it was a great match-up. Chad gave up one solo home run and that happens. He lost his concentration there and we were very fortunate to get out of that inning without anymore damage. After that inning he settled down and I ran his pitch count pretty high because he was feeling good and wanted to go the distance."
