This win felt great. I felt like Nostradamus after the top of the 9th. I showed how I was leaving O'Connell's line open because I thought he'd get the win, and said Lashley would score the winning or tying run. These guys make it easy to feel confident.

Kerr, Puerta, Labsan, and Lashley all had multiple hits, with Kerr hitting 2 2B and Lashley one, and Labsan with a 3-hit night including a 2-run monster of a home run. Dicks reached twice on walks, and Langham reached twice with a 1B and a walk, scoring both times. Swan was really impressive, and O'Connell needed only 4 pitches to get us back to the plate for the bottom of the 9th. It was a great move to bring him in at that point, both to shut down Rutgers, and, more importantly, to reinforce that the game was not over.

Besides conference play these are the series you have to win to build your post season resume.

This team has proven  themselves to be a scoring machine. We gave Rutgers 5 in the first and this team didn't blink an eye. They just played hard inning after inning. We need to have pitchers that can avoid the big innings.David, for some reason, has lost some confidence, command and even some velocity. Maybe taking the pressure of the Friday spot off will do him good. Coach Mac is one of the best coaches I've seen. He doesn't make knee jerk reactions. He sticks to a plan till he has enough  statistical information to make a change. David is a solid pitcher and will be a very important pitcher as the year progresses. The fact that we have Robbie or Sean as options is a great thing for the team. Lets take two more from The New Jersey Knights.

Not a familiar place for the Owls, but Scarlett Knights even the series:

FAU downs Rutgers in another close one, but didn't need this ninth this time scoring the winner in the 8th inning.  Devon Carr (1IP, 0H, 0R) was the winning pitcher, and Cameron Ragsdale earned his 5th save of the year.
