I have a question that may sound a little off track. Do most college baseball teams use their players as part of the grounds crew or is it the smaller programs or smaller budget schools? Just curious?

Most, as it just takes more folks than most schools employ.

The weather cooperates, and they are stretching at FAU Baseball Stadium with the Owls on top 3-2.

FAU struck first for a score in the bottom of the first, as Christian Dicks drives in Stephen Kerr, who led off the contest with a walk then stole his way to third.

UAB answered in the top of the 2nd for a brief stint until the Owls used three straight singles a pair of scores in the 4th to move ahead.

FAU picks up another in the bottom 7th. Could be much more but the Owls have stranded 10 runners so far.

Not over yet, as the Blazers counter with a solo effort off of Owl reliever Colyn O'Connel.

But FAU has three on and no outs with Christina Dicks at the plate.

I was just going to call my wife and tell her I'm going to FAU for baseball , but maybe I'll play the wait and see game.
