- [li]The Cajun's were five outs from clinching its first Sun Belt series win of the season when a 17-pitch at bat by Dan Scheffler drew a walk to put the winning run on the basepath for the Owls.[/li]
[li]It was a tough no-decision for UL starter T.J. Geith who carried a no-hitter into the fourth inning and limited the Owls to two runs on just five hits over 6 2/3 innings of work.[/li]
[li]Taylor Hubbell, was charged with the loss for the Cajuns. He surrendered two runs in just 2/3 innings pitched in relief of Geith[/li]
[li]T.J. Geith retired the first eight Owl batters he faced and 10 of the first 11 overall.[/li]

Inside the Owls Dugout
- [li]Andy Mee went 3-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and an RBI in addition to pitching a perfect ninth to earn his third save of the season[/li]
[li]The Owls recorded a double play (interference on a slide was called at second) on a bunt attempt in the 8th inning to end a Cajun Rally.[/li]
[li]The Owls did not have a hit until the fourth inning, when Mee connected for his fifth home run of the season,[/li]
[li]Gipson (5-0) remained perfect on the season and battled through eight innings while giving up nine hits and three earned runs. The right-handed did not walk a batter and struck out five. [/li]
