MaXx, I know I can't make Sat - Family stuff, but
Friday & Sunday for sure. All I know, is that it will be a great weekend for baseball, if our bats stay hot I think we take 3-games from you guys, then again you guys seem to be playing pretty good ball right now so you never know.

Wow, the rivalry is pretty good, huh?? I have fun talking with my classmates who went to FIU…picking on each other is supposed to be fun!
Yes our basketball team is pretty bad, but we did make our conference tournament (maybe the only south FL team to do so). Unfortunately for the football team..your third year will also be your first in I-A (luckily ours was in I-AA and gave us confidence that should carry over to this coming year).
But back to baseball…hopefully we'll take the series 4-0 or 3-1.
Good luck to FIU in all sports (we are in the same conference now)…EXCEPT when you guys play and get BEAT by FAU. 8-) ;) ;D

It is a pretty good rivalry which Im sure will get better once we play in the Sun Belt together in 2007-but right now it just cant compare to the bad blood between the players with the Stetson+Jacksonville series or the importance of the UCF+Miami games. You could tell from last years games the coaches played these games as just another non-conference series and not win at all costs. Im sure that will change when were fighting for a Sun BElt title but its still a few years off.

First of all, my North Havana comment was not racially-based. It was based on the fact that the FIU campus is so far south that it might as well be in Cuba. Secondly, so much for that Decarlo guy shutting us down. Five walks (three in the first) and five earned runs….nice. And even Widlansky gets in on the action….you know if he's hitting we're having a good night. Now to your comments.

FIU hasn't had a good year in a while from what I can remember……that department needs an overhaul. I heard your AD was crying today because he fired 'a good guy'…..nice guys finish last, and winning is what it's all about these days. Hopefully FAU will realize that soon and kick Sidney Green out….if you guys want him, you can have him. He's the reason we're probably going to lose tomorrow…who takes 3 months off work after making the tourney, failing to bring in any decent recruits after our big dance debut? As for football, IT WAS OUR SECOND YEAR!!! You just went 2-10, so you have nothing to talk about.

Come up to Boca on Friday MaXx and visit with the Berm Brigade in right field….I hope your right fielder has a good sense of humor!
