3* Roswell, GA QB Cordel Littlejohn Commits to FAU's Class of 2018

Cordel Littlejohn
QB
6-4, 190
Roswell, GA
Roswell, HS

Flipped to the Owls after officially visiting Boca Raton on January 28, 2018. Regarded by many to have a very strong arm, and good overall mechanics. Benches 205 lbs and squats 305 lbs. Forty has been timed at 4.5 seconds.

Put up gaudy numbers for Lincolnton High School in North Carolina during his junior season (3700 yards, 50 TDs, 62%, 6 INTs, 400 rushing yards and 6 TDs) before transferring to Roswell.

Welcome to FAU Cordel!

Guys, check out this story on him I found;

UGA recruiting: Can Cordel Littlejohn earn an offer this week?

Did NOT have the Sr. season he was wanting but the potential is sure there. If he HAD thrown for 40-50 TD's again as a SR. WE would not be getting him!!!

Roswell HS. Same HS that ex Boynton kid Jeff Bower was the QB at. Jeff later became head coach for 17 years at So. Miss.  Littlejohn was committed to Illinios but they pulled the offer as they already  have two  3* QB's committed. Good for us.

Yup, and class is maybe around half done – more beastly talent on the way.

I was expecting to wake up and see another commitment or two. I would rather these kids go home and speak with their parents first and be sure of the decision , instead of committing and not be sure. Our list is impressive. Now we need to hold them all.

Cordel has a very interesting story. I wouldn't exactly say he chose FAU over Illinois – looks like he committed to them early and promptly got over-recruited by them taking two other dual-threat QBs. That actually made national news. Regardless, he apparently has all the tools needed to be a big time QB down the road in this system.

Yeah it's definitely an issue…You could probably say that about 50% of the commits out there at some point in their relationships with other schools.

Yup – it's just the "nature of the beast". Heck, we benefited from that (i.e. Willie Wright being a Memphis commit all the way up to signing day).
