Also what you said you would do better was trash other programs…. And that is pretty low class in itself. If I came in & saw coaches trashing others I would leave with a bitter taste in my mouth.
Again, look at the kids we still have committed, a bunch have offers from Cincinnati, bowling green, Minnesota, Marshall, Boston college, and more schools like that. They are beating other schools to quality kids. Not only are you incredibly pessimistic, but you skew the truth to look worse than it actually is.
Bottom line, in years past we would be excited about 3 or 4 recruits. This year, i can't pick: they all bring something to the table & appear ready to contribute. The future is bright in my eyes. If your not with it, your against it.
And a few things.

2. oc40: you cannot tell a guest he is hiding behind a fake name or whatever when you yourself use a screen name & not your real name! Haha
3. I love the owls. Charlie is doing as good as he could reasonably be expected to & he is just getting started.

BTW…i read somewhere on social media that Causey had been metioning that he was "done" with FAU and this was stated during the Miami/FSU came. Can't remember where I saw it though. Even if we just end up with a handfull of 3* signees on NLI day, isn't that progress? Isn't that what we are striving for?
I wonder how many 2*/3* recruits are in the NFL or have been major contributors to thier collegiate program.
Bye Bye Causey, wish you all the best but you know you weren't dedicated from the begining to being an Owl.

C'mon guys. Let "Guest" be guest. At least he/she is contributing. For the most part, we all have ficticious names on here.Posted On: Jan 19th 2015, 10:20 AM #341043
I'm with you on this one. I don't object to his contributions. He does bring up some valid points.
To "Guest", how about you sign up, and make your username "Guest" lol, at least to make (mainly) OC40 happy.

If you cant sell your product to kids you have a long relationship with…that is whats concerning.
Teambeer is the most knowledgeable FAU sports fan I know, way smarter than me.

The concerning issue here is the kids that committed because of their relationship with Roger Harriott are not sticking.

That is a big problem. especially 2 or 3 years from now, he's gonna try to recruit kids that never played for him, and that'll be a lot harder then.
Like someone previously stated, the beach and pretty stadium is not enough to convince these kids. You can use the "stay close to home" bid, but they can chose to play for UM which has a better fan base, and much bigger exposure, and tougher strength of schedule.
Unless we win at least 7 games in a season, it's gonna be hard to convince those 4-star recruits to join our program.
If you ask me, if we beat UM at home, and give the Gator a run for their money next year, I'm pretty damn sure we'll have at least 3, 4 4-star recruits next year.

1ST I dont care to know the guest's personal name, there are a few guest that post and it would be mice to know which opinion is which.
2nd Peter Bailey 100% visited
3rd Coaches use a combination of talking up and down about other programs.
Lamar Thomas former Cane and current UL coach said publicly that he rips UM for their poor fan base lacks of funds and no on campus stadium.
It happens all the time.
And stop comparing this class to the past our past classes were some of the worst in the country look at the classes between 2008 and 2011 75% of the players made no to very little impact at all.
Does this class have some nice players? Absolutely! Is this any thing close to the 9 months of FAB15 hype we have been receiving? HECK NO!
Maybe we flip some kids down the stretch but if not it will be a huge disappointment when the dust settles to see Ron Turner went neck and neck with Charlie…….

I think the UM game is a must win for a quick turn around for our program. They should become our real rival for recruits in south Florida.
