Reporting costs money, so how can we expect good reporting without paying for it? (If you think Owl Access will sit by idly while we post their exclusive articles or information derived from them then you have another thing coming)
Completely agree…that's why we dont allow premium content to be posted on this site…

Ive tried listening to botht he HS show on Owlacces and the Radio show on espn760. I just CANT get thru them. Something about his voice just leads me to tune out. Probably sacrilege I know but Ill take all the 1-2 minute blurbs that coach can throw out and love it. Anything over 5 minutes and I loose interest.
Yeah it's hard to get through them. Coach mumbles too much.
Regarding the articles on here: I appreciate that you're doing them but unless it's a scoop/angle no one else has covered, I don't usually bother with it. For instance, I think Rick has the inside scoop on basketball, particularly recruiting. But if it's, say, another article on Marcus Bartels being a fearless safety, I think you'd be better served working on the forum.

a reasonable amount, or contribute. It's clear that a lot of time and effort go into this very good site.

Where's the button for "never heard of them"?
I heard of them, but never really gave them a second thought. Does anyone know if there is some sort of exclusive content on their that would make people want to pay for it?
Between the Owlsnest, Ted's blog, Coach's twitter, Fau's twitter, PBP blog, ESPN, Rivals, FAU Athletic's website, and a few more. Why would anyone pay for content available everywhere else?
Dirty Bird Twitter too!

Re: Competitor Goes Paysite
But I think it has sufficient value that I would pay a reasonable amount (or contribute to their beer fund or whatever), if necessary to keep it going. It is not the information per se that is mandated to be free (by the U.S. Constitution); rather it is the right to circulate the information that is constitutionally protected. It is perfectly reasonable (and has been accepted practice for centuries) for those who write opinion or report the news to charge for it (provided they can get anyone to pay). The practice of charging for it also generally makes it more attractive to advertisers; they reason that people who are willing to pay for information (or access to a site) are more likely to be serious readers (viewers) and consequently are of more value as potential customers. I hope the guys behind this fine board can make some reasonable money, and I'll drink to that.
