Re: FAU 2012 Commit WR Daniel McKinney

That is a good point about more than 1 slot receiver, when they go to a 4 WR set. I still think we have plenty of quality slot options though. Who among the WR's are the fastest who can stretch the field and give these guys room to work underneath and also be the legit targets the long downfield strike passes?

Burton can do the trick and we have a gray shirt from WPB that will be here next year , Bullard. ( I think ) He can spread the field also.

Dukes can burn it. Moise is big, but he is pretty fast too. Glinton also is this kind of guy. And do not forget about Richardson, is this not his forte?

We have options at flanker too.

This guy in the slot with a pass catching TE running crossing routes underneath could be dangerous.

And we have small & quick TE's as well as Big tarhet TE's now.

Not to mention throws to small quick backs out of the backfield!

Or:

Gilchrist out wide. With Burton in the slot to the left and Mckinney slot to the right. Dukes split out wide. Fortner/Jones/Wallace in the backfield (no Jackson because he should mainly carry the ball).

Then split the Rb out wide.

…. how do you defend that?

You stuff the box and put pressure on the QB. Your banking on the QB not having the time or talent to make the quick pass to the open open reciever.

Now we have to see if MGIII/Wilber/Curtis can hit that throw with accuracy.

I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick @$$ and I'm out of bubble gum.

If the box is packed with a five wr set, then the ball can just be lofted down field with a three step drop and we will have a TD every play…

Exactly what German did at the end of his highlight film! Safety came up and German then just lofted an easy touch pass to where he safety was and BOOM - 60 yd. TD!  He read the move and responed!

You have a good pass rush from your front four that forces the QB to the short side of the field with safety help over the top and either have your MLB spy on a RB or bring a DB in as a "ROVER".

Look at what Monte Kiffin did to UF's offense the lone season he was at UT.
