Can't have enough good kickers…Although I doubt we'd be giving 2 scholarships to kickers this year.

While it's nice to know we should have FIU's number in the recruiting battle in the near future, we should look to attempt to compete with the UCFs and USFs, more importanly we need to thwart the MAC and other C-USA teams from poaching from our talent pool.  I think with an AD from OSU and President from Clemson they will look to improve athletic facilites which could go a long way in the recruiting battle.  What I would like to see is an improved Academic Center and renovated training facility the Ox needs some (a lot) of work.  I think both things will go a long way in recruiting battles.  With that being said what coach S did when we were playing in that sand pit called Lockhart is nothing short of amazing.

Yep. That was my first though too. That's a big part in hiring these kind of guys.

Oh yeah, it's a huge part of it.

We hired a coach who hired other coaches that gave us this instant uptick in recruiting prowess. And that was a smart move on Chun's part, I see that now.

However, without athletics upgrades we will eventually hit a bottleneck whereby his staff can get top-rated players to visit based on rapport and reputation but then they'll get here and see the Oxley and inevitably compare it to the palatial digs of the BCS conferences.

Relationships matter - between the player and his coaches and the player and his family - but you're also talking about high school seniors who are tweeting pictures of electronics, uniforms, shoes and of course football facilities. Feeling like you "made it" after all the hard work you put in throughout high school. So it's definitely important.

Welcome to FAU Landon!

Nice story on this from the sun Sentinel with a couple of links inculed to other stoties about or including him;

One story says number one ranked in the nation (by one kicking ranking site) and another at no. 11, great news either way!

So every player that visited is now a commit of FAU

I hope we have enough spots for all the commits in the end. Wouldn't want to pull any offers. But I know it could happen.

I have the same concern but I assume these coaches know what they're doing. Having everyone commit who visited is a good sign but it also helps that they visited so close to NSD.

Alin Eduoard's twitter indicates that he's very much enjoying himself at Syracuse so I'm going to let that one go.
