If he wanted to go to FAU he should have made his decision after the offer and visit.
Teambeer is the most knowledgeable FAU sports fan I know, way smarter than me.

I'm sick of recruits complaining about the process. It's one thing if you commit and then the offer is pulled, but this guy never accepted. He can't now complain that the offer was pulled if he was still taking other visits. We have to find a QB and he's not the only one out there.
Exactly! Recruits change their minds all the time and decommit from one school only to sign with another. But, when we decide we aren't offering you a scholarship anymore or we changed our mind it's oh the audacity! How could they do such a thing!
Even if Johnson doesn't end up at FAU, the point is he still made a decision and a verbal commitment. We want kids who want to be here not kids who aren't sure and are waiting to see if a better school offers them.
The coaching staff is fine and I don't think people have a problem with this. The kid said he was disappointed but it won't affect us in a negative way on the recruiting trail
My two favorite teams are FAU, and who ever is beating FIU!

Keep in mind Johnson still has three years of eligibility left and we are sure he will be eligible right away. The same cannot be said for most JUCOs.
Agreed. Freguson was in the same boat as well. Rare to find guys that have three years of eligibility.

He doesn't have the right to take however many visits he wants and his sweet time and think its on the FAU coaches to wait for that.
I think a lot of players feel like, because of our record these last two years, we're desperate and they're God's gift to football players, so FAU will wait for them because clearly they need them.
We're still a Division 1 football team with a lot to offer in a state with tons of D1 talent.
