FAU's recruiting strategy is on a much smaller scale: South Florida

Some rare coverage from the Miami Herald…

Silence the doubters.  Forget stars.  This WILL be our best recruiting class yet:

"FAU coach Howard Schnellenberger has narrowed his recruiting focus to South Florida to stock his football team with talent."

Yes… there was nothing "negative" about the stadium.

So high school juniors who read the Herald and not the Sentinel and/or Post… they are sitting in class today thinking… "hummmmmm  I could go to FAU and be a big Owl in a small Burrow in a new stadium… or I could go to Florida and be a small Gator in a Big Swamp; Go to FSU and be a small Nole in a big Tribe, etc. etc. etc.

Must be what T.Y. Hilton was thinking when he signed with FIU over WVU.
