How many stars does he have?
It not how many stars he has it how many other offers he has and kids with a lot of offers has more stars. the kid dose not even have a rivals page
I do not understand how you can sit here and fight against the star system and say well none of that matters when that recruiting technique has not worked if you read the other posts everyone seems to agree with me. You are the one that just dose not get it you do not live in the 21st century  you must be as old and senile as Howard because you seem forgot this recruiting scrubs who only other offer is to south east west school of the blind is the reason we are 1-11

Reason we are 1-11 is the same reason the Colts are 0-12….both have quarterbacks that throw like you spell.  Its easy to agree with you right now…NOBODY would have agreed with you on this board in 2007 and 2008 when we were winning and setting records with so called "scrubs".

we were 1-11 because our fan base had blind faith in Howard and let him stick around 2 extra seasons end of story.

The fan base huh?  Thats who should have fired the creator of our program?  I really hope you are a Wal-Mart FAU fan and do not actually attend my beloved alma matter.

Ill stop saying that if some of you just admit that the diamonds in the rough way of recruiting is an awful way to find talent for a program.

Tell that to Pelini.

He's recruiting some right now.

When you pull your head out of your arse and realize that developing players or "diamonds in the rough" as you call them is the ONLY way to recruit when your home stadium is Lockhart and you play in the SunBelt I will stop thinking everything you post is ignorant.

How many 4 and 5 star players did Jarvis recruit to turn the bball program around?  I forgot.

First stop bring up 4-5 star recruits i do not expect them all i expect is for WKU no to whoop our a** in recruiting in our own state.
We can argue this till the end of time but in the end the talent has to increase developed or not we can not win when we have 1-aa talent and whether you want to admit it or not  we have a lot of players who do not belong at this level.

You still wont answer my simple question….were those I-AA players in 2007 and 2008?

I agree that our QB does not belong at this level.  I dont agree with you on a lot of the other guys on the roster however.  In fact, I think if we would have had a decent offense this year our defense would have excelled.

I feel the Sun Belt is a much better league now then it was even such a short time ago in 2007 our big win was against a 1-11 Minnesota
team. Yes we were a better team and had more talent but we never built off those two years. This year FIU beat UL who has a share of the big east title and UCF.
Even in 2008 we were only 6-6 and we still had Rusty and were blown out by every team that was favored against us.
Why can you just accept we need more talent around here or we will continue to be at the bottom of the Belt.

I am sorry i am too big of a fan to sit here and say it is OK for our conference rivals to our recruit us.
FAU needs better talent at every position not just QB even in 2008 when we had Rusty like i said we still were not that good.

You keep saying if we had a good QB this year we would have won a few more games fine i can agree with that but is that your goal to be 6-6 every year.  I grew up watching SEC and ACC football so maybe it is just carried over but I want to win 10 every year that is my expectations. Those big schools having those big expectations every year is why they are so good.

Much better league?  We won our bowl games as well vs other conferences.

2008 Rusty was hurt most of the year or we probably go 8-4.

"I grew up watching SEC and ACC football so maybe it is just carried over but I want to win 10 every year that is my expectations. Those big schools having those big expectations every year is why they are so good."

This is your problem, you dont concieve the difference between us and large SEC programs (I am not sure which ACC program wins 10 a season???).  Its not that they have those expectations every year…its that they have the money for coaches and recruiting budgets, tradition, etc to get the players and coaches to constantly churn those seasons out.

We simply do not have the resources to win 10 games every season at this point, especially with 3 or 4 body bag games a season.  If you set your goals realistically maybe you wont be so outrageous on this board.

The Big school have so much money and support because of the crazy fans with high expectations. My High school  football coach always said shoot for the moon even if fall short you will fall among the stars.  Im am not sorry my expectations are so high  i will not accept us being beaten on the recruiting trail or on the field  by Sun Belt and  i will not accept being a doormat to BIG SIX schools.
