My point is we both are losers. Hahahaha. It will come down to if he wants to stay in Florida. I was going to say "close to home", but Panama City is a long way from Boca. You're right though, lets see if Magic Chuck can  keep a recruit that is swaying. This kid would make a nice OLB. 210 lbs. now, college strength coaches will quickly have him at 225. Maybe more in 3-4 years. My question with him is other than Cal and pitt and FAU, the interest drops way way off. What gives ?

Project type of kid. He's the "well is he a safety or is he a linebacker?" debate that staffs will have for hours.

If you're FAU, you take the talent, because you need the speed with the spread offenses that everyone is running these days. FYI, Archer also falls into this category.

The Panhandle is also weird when it comes to recruiting in general. I personally think it's an untapped market. Mosley High hasn't had a kid sign with an FBS school in 4 years, and the Owls also found Jones after that satellite camp in Tallahassee.

Now, the Cal interest is fascinating. They have signed just one kid from Florida in the past 12 years, and that was a kicker out of Jacksonville. I would like to know what drove them across the country.

Cal CANNOT compete with the other Cal schools (USC, UCLA, Stanford) in recruiting let alone Oregon!

1st how about you stop posting under guest.
2nd I'll do what you guys want me to do for once.
Ok here it's goes.
It's ok loosing a 3 star all region player.
The future is bright the 4th best class in C-USA will sure take us to the promise land.
Hey I hear there is a kid we are looking at who has offers from Furman and UNC Charlotte he  should be fine because stars don't matter I mean that's what Ole Howard used to say.

But really I doubt this kid comes back he decommited before his visit to Cal and IU.
I hope we have some good kids on deck.
This could become the #FUB15 real quick.
Charlie was brought here to recruit and not get beat out by La Tech and Marshall who's schools are located in maybe the two most dump cities in C-USA.

You post under a fictitious name I don't think you stand on any ground to call someone out for posting under guest.

And this kid is good. We still have a shot at him. We have other lbs already committed & backups in place.

Let's place our first judgment after signing day & the second 4 years from now when they graduate.

Do you know who the back ups are? Im sure they are there but you seem to know who they are. Also lets up the staff has a card up their sleeve and can flip someone else good who is committed because I dont want the dimond in the rough kid.

I rarely post about recruiting because honestly, it is way over my head…the science of it, the rules, etc.

When we second guess coaching decisions, that is much more tangible for me because I can see it: why didn't we go for it on 4th down, why did we pass from our own end zone, why didn't we punt, etc.

I can't "see" recruiting, and some of the benefits are not realized for years. I know OC40, you are really into the recruiting and you talk to Andrew a lot, and he is big into recruiting and he does a great job.

My questions are: What could Charlie be doing differently? What would you do to attract better players to FAU? How would you retain recruits like Scarlett, Causey, Jones when more prominent schools come calling?
