North Miami WR Tavaris Harrison commits to FAU Football
FAU’s “Fab 15” added another commit Wednesday night. North Miami wide receiver Tavaris Harrison gave a verbal pledge to the Owls after talking things over with assistant coach Corey Bell.
Harrison played his sophomore season at American Senior, where Bell was the head coach at the time.
The 6-foot-3, 180-pound wide receiver is the brother of ex-NFL journeyman and Kentucky standout Glenn Holt.
Harrison - who held offers from USF, App. State, Toledo and Mercer - said Bell was the difference in the end.
“I like coach Bell,” Harrison said over the phone. “It’s a good plan that they have coming. The recruits that we have. 2015 should be very good.”
Bell has been one of FAU’s most effective recruiters this summer - despite what others think. He's led the charge on both Harrison and Booker T. Washington linebacker James King.
