To illustrate the recruiting rankings and how they actually matter. Based on our final signings per Phil Steele, King would have been our 5th highest rated while at UM is was 2nd LOWEST, and they flipped him basically on signing day. I know there was talk of him possibly even stepping in at MLB as a true freshman!
THAT along with Daniel Parr sticking with us over UM shows how bad recruiting at UM had gotten yet he was still their 2nd LOWEST! But their playing and Coaching level is still way above us and finished 8-4 and Bowl Eligible playing in the ACC.

We don't need two sport athletes playing for us. It just takes away from their ability to become great at one sport splitting time in college.

This flat out could not be more wrong.
If someone is a two sport athlete they have been doing it their wholes lives and usually are fine.
I always found playing 2-3 sports help your ability in all the sports.
For example baseball helps with hand eye coordination and patience.
Jamies Winston
Kyle Parker
Russel Wilson
Drew Henson
Tony Gonzalez
Chris Rainey
Bo Jackson
I could name 100 more.
I would 100 percent welcome a two sport athletes.
With this being said he is probably just playing basketball for fun.

I'm with OC40 on this one. Several QBs have been selected in the MLB draft as OC pointed out. (Let's add John Elway to that list). Some of the best TEs have also played basketball beyond HS as well.

I believe coaches at our level absolutely hate sharing athletes. You had better be a Charlie Ward because if you are not, it usually doesn't work well.
