What does this mean for Bracewell, Curtis and Kane? Will one or all of them look to transfer?
I wouldn't think it means anything for Curtis and Kane. Both have the ability and skill set to run the offense. I dont think Pelini is going to had the ball to a 180 lb freshamn this fall.
Bracewell is a really nice kid, I'd like to think he could be successful here but I am not sure he can run the spread. Whatever he ends up doing I hope it works out for him.

Uhh..a proto-typical spread guy? He lined up under center a bunch in that video, and also in the "I" formation as well. What spread QB lines up in the "I" and under center? Not saying he can't run the spread, but I think it's more of a hybrid Pro/Spread. He's def a dual threat kind of QB though and looks like a good pick up.
I can't watch the video from work, are you sure he's not lined up in the "pistol" offense? You can run a spread variation off of that.

Ya, and even then, what spread QB have you ever seen line up under center? I have seen it a few times in short yardage situations, and it ends in disaster since they aren't used it.

He looks to be able to do both but his skills - short passes and running the ball himself by design quite a lot too - those are spread skills. He also keeps his head uo pretty well when scrambling (VERY important) to see receivers and dump the ball to secondary receivers. And he looks to be a competitor too, does not want to go down easily when being tackled, wants that extra yard or two!
Finally, BEST THING TO ME, coming on for spring, he may be ready to start or at MINIMIUM put the pressure on our other qb's to larn the O and excell NOW!

- kid breaks tackles
- has a nice touch pass and can float one nice
- got intense speed
- makes the zone read (not only is he fast, but he is smart)
I would venture to say the only reason some real big time schools did not take a look at him was because of size. This, my fellow Owls, is a diamond in the rough.

His highlights impress me. Venice is a good school and like I said earlier he followed in the footsteps of Trey Burton. Yeah he might not be an elite prospect, but he is someone that wants to come in right away and contribute.
