And Mayfield has thrown more than a couple picks too.
But the TT O is wide open and takes risks while we apparantly have the most conservative OC and HC in the country! We don't really try new things or trick plays and we run off tackle and up the middle a lot with an inexperienced O line against VERY GOOD teams so far this season (yes, the USF D is pretty decent). Face it, our by far fastest and most dangerous RB hardly touches the ball as we do0n't try to utilize his speed to the corner. The most "interesting" move on O this year so far is moving our projected starting QB to WR and he has barely seen the ball.
We might even win a few more games this year if the D keeps it up but we will NOT sell many seats playing this "vanilla" and BORING of a spread O style of playcalling.

Yah he has but I think we would all take 8 TD passes and 3 picks through 3 games along with 1000 passing yards and over 60% completion rate from a true fresh qb, no? Point being we did at least identify his talent where many schools didnt, we just didnt land him, not sure if he didnt want to come here or if we thought quez was a better option…either way seems they are ok on the finding talent, just need to notch up closing the deal on some of these kids. Agreed on all counts regarding our conservative offense, but maybe if the coaches had more faith in one of the qb's we would open it up more, but then again who knows

This team is light years better than we were at this point last season. Progress is being made. Show some perspective. Better things are coming, but it takes some time. The last 2 weeks proved we have kids that can play competitively at this level. The same thing couldn't have been said a year ago.

I'm happy with where we are as a program and the performances in the last two games, though not perfect by any means, have shown that we have the talent to finally enjoy a winning season this year. And that's a huge deal for the university because we haven't been good since '08.

I'm the one who doesn't get it?!?!?! Since 2009, I've been telling you all that our recruiting has been lousy and that we need to recruit better athletes, and every year, people like YOU tell me otherwise. Good teams don't lose 38 out of their last 52 games! So how am I the one who doesn't get it?

FYI - This coaching staff is trying to recruit better players but for whatever reason they don't want to come here (presently). I've got an idea, donate a few million dollars to upgrade our facilities and I guarantee we'll get better players.

I agree. You don't get that you don't get it.
Secondly, do you think Charlotte, Georgia State, or South Alabama have better facilities than FAU?! No, but all three of these schools are out-recruiting FAU.
