Re: Rutgers

I think its one thing if Schiano bails to go coach Uconn for more money but you have to appreciate that he got an NFL gig. Look at your career, what if you were given a shot to do what you do on the biggest stage in your industry? You wouldnt take it because youre loyal to your current employer? I promise you this, when times are tough, your employer wont be THAT loyal to you.

Re: Rutgers

You are right but to me it is really the timing of the move, great for him but sucks for his school and program? Sometimes ya just gotta say no, now is no the right time, or no, this is not the right thing to do.

There is never a good time for a good coach to leave.  At the end of the day, coaching is a job.  A coach is going to do what is best for him and his family. Obviously, an NFL gig was probably a long-term goal for Schiano.

Well, a perfect time for Mario Cristobal to leave would be today or tomorrow  ;D could happen!

Panther fans are VERY nervous about. They are questioning his "loyalty" to the program because of the timing.

Im sorry, but if someone called me up and offered to triple my salary at a higher profile job for doing the same work I do now, I'd be all over it.

Anyone else would be too.

I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick @$$ and I'm out of bubble gum.

Re: Rutgers

He's only in "discussions" at present…….

"Mario Cristobal likely will be announced as Rutgers' next head football coach today if ongoing negotiations between the sides are worked out and if the school's Board of Governors gives its approval, according to two people familiar with the situation." - Link

As much as we want to see it finalized, have to let it play out!

Re: Rutgers

Youd have to think that Eddie Gran is in the mix. His name was thrown out at a bunch of Coaching gigs, (including ours).

Rough timing for the Kitties, and possibly the biggest hire in history for them coming up.

Crazy year in 'Belt coaching for sure. The confrence has been turned upside down with coaching changes.
