German's been my top signee for awhile now. We certainly need the jumpstart on offense and it all starts with a great QB. From what I've read and what I've seen, he seems like the guy. That said, since he's coming in this summer, I don't know how that will affect his ability to become the starter. I understand he's been playing JUCO so he knows how to play football at the college level but I don't know how much he needs to be eased into our system and our team.

#1 reason for us going for Melvin and him taking us (over UM for instance) is he's been running a no huddle spread O for the last 2 years in college, he's ready to take over now. Short learning curve.

I am going a different route from most.

OL Jonathan Ragoo is the best of the class in my opinion.

He is a Dade County kid who was an All-State selection in high school. He ended up at Minnesota, but was heavily recruited by Miami, Florida, and Purdue among others.

Numerous sites ranked him in the top 100 OL linemen in the country out of high school and he was as high as the #45 ranked OG.

He had a high school GPA of 3.8. No classroom issues for this kid.

We need impact players on the O-line and he can give us that.

Did I mention he is 6-7 and 340lbs??

I picked German because he is the qb - was a no brainer to me.

But the new "surprise" signing, Chris Gilchrist looks AMAZING on his video.

Those four Belt D's losing 3 or even all 4 db's (Arky. St.! and Troy loses 2), are gonna have serious issues with our O this year due to the talent upgrades AND NEVER having seen our new O!

Throw in all the new talent on D and what I beleive will be an amazing aggresive D and this is gonna be one REAL interesting season Owl fans!

I think he will be good for us as well…my gut feeling is he will RS his first yr he's only 16 still has some growing to do which is a scary thought

I kind of agree with Ted Hutton a bit, its hard to get excited because we REALLY dont know how these kids will work out.

That is not really a parade, more like a hippie fest…. "Rain on the Hippie Fest" just doesn't sound as good either!

Don't count Glinton out. I watched him up close live twice this season, and he can play. Of course, we need a QB who can get him the ball, and hopefully German is that guy.

Don't sleep on Adrian Burton.  If you have not viewed his highlight, you need to.  General opinion in Broward, is that his coaches did not know where and how to play this kid…..He should be able to give Tony Grimes a lot of help, locking down the opposite side…..should be an interesting race in the CB position
