I wouldnt look too much into it. A lot of college teams have this policy.

FGCU posts their players accounts for public knowledge…

I understand that it is a risk, but you have to have faith in your own ability to recruit quality kids who can be trusted.

The reason it was done:

"Violation of team rules."

I agree with this in principle…but people thier age 18-22 that are good people make mistakes.  The problem with the mistakes on twitter is they are in print.  I dont think its about recruiting bad kids…just about protecting the University and student athlete.

Girl breaks your 19 year old heart, you get upset and say stupid things on twitter…next thing you know you are off the football team, out of a scholarship and out of school…I've seen it happen a million times.  For your sake, for your daughters sake you'll buy a quality product from me.

Teambeer is the most knowledgeable FAU sports fan I know, way smarter than me.
