Re: Game Day Thread: FAU vs MSU - Sept. 11th 12:00PM EST
Let's see … The attendance is horrible. This is the best Michigan State fans can do? This is all FAU can muster with $180,000 in marketing money?
This game could have drawn as many fans at Dolphin Stadium or even at Lockhart. Giving up a home game for alleged profit was a HUGE mistake. And a mistake anyone in professional marketing could have predicted.
Where are the FAU band and cheerleaders? Couldn't the possibility of making $2 million allow FAU to at least try to give its team some sort of hometown feeling?
On FAU's first possession, a MSU lineman tackled one of the FAU rushers from behind right in front of a ref. No call.
FAU has NO special teams. Might as well just leave the field empty. When the punter is your best punt team tackler, that's pathetic. There was little tackling on the first kickoff and no blocking on the kick return.
The pass defense is HORRIBLE. The Owls let the receiver set and catch the ball, and then react in slow motion after the fact.
The line, as expected, can't lock and Morris is being manhandled.
This is disgusting and I'm not sure I can watch much more. Go Owls, but man, this bulk of this team is unprepared or not talented or both. And I blame much of this debacle-in-the-making on FAU coaching.

I wrote this earlier and did not get it posted, but much of what I says stands.

No one is making you watch it. Turn it off and go do something else.
