Interception by FAU keeps the Owls in this one, as the Owls take a knee and the half comes to a close. The canon just fired for the second time.

Back from the field, here are some observations:

- This stadium, when crowded will be VERY loud. It's built for big sound.
- The students are into this game, as are the folks particularly in the northwest sideline seats and the north end zone. They are doing their damnedest to keep the owls in this, when that is very difficult to do.
- Starting the the middle second quarter, you could feel the emotion come back to the owls and the momentum swing in favor of FAU. The spark was back, thanks in part to the small but vociferous crowd.
- The ship horn is pretty awesome. It could be louder, in my opinion.
- If FAU could just stop making insanely ridiculous mistakes (like dropping the ball on exchanges, fumbling after big runs and making killer penalties), this would be a winnable game.
- The immensely cool owl is back on the sidelines. I want to pet it so bad!
- The view from the press box has to be one of the best in football.
