Game Week Thread: FAU @ ULM - 10/09/10 @ 7:00 p.m.

Strength is with our Quarterback Jeff VanCamp, the guy has done great with a OL that is struggling.  If JCV has time, Lester Jean has become a great receiver for us.

Alfred "Bam Bam" Morris, if we can finally get a running attack going he can be a huge strength, if the OL can be more consistent.

Weakness, a defense that struggles against the run & gives up way too many big plays.

We have a really good punter and he gets a lot of reps.

That's it.  ;D

From The News-Star today…

"Being here before, I knew what some of the issues were going to be, and they were issues for me," Berry said. "They might not be issues for everybody, but they were issues for me in terms of the way we were going to carry ourselves as a football team. The change in the style of play, the recruiting — there's just been some changes."

Berry's cohort this Saturday understands the worst of that situation.

Florida Atlantic coach Howard Schnellenberger was not hired to take over a program — he was expected to build one from the ground up.

FAU coach can relate to Berry's task of building a program

Do you guys feel confident in a victory at all or do you think it could go either way?  I think if ULM limits turnovers we will win the game but thats a HUGE 'if'.  Another huge if, I think that if we are up when the second half starts and Centarius Donald (our big back, but a freshman) can knock off about 3-4 YPR, we'll just try to wear your defense down and hold onto the ball the rest of the game.  A couple other things:

Isn't your starting QB hurt? How serious is that?

And are you concerned about our QB's ability to make big gains on his feet?

IM not confident about much right now at all.

A lot will depend on how agressive your D is. Our Oline is just so inexperienced that they cant get protection and holes opened up. A lot will depend on if we can hold your rush.

As to our Defense just one concept can win this game for you.

RUN THE FOOTBALL.

We cant stop the run, and havent been able to stop the run for 4 years now.

I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick @$$ and I'm out of bubble gum.
