I wonder if Richt gets a pass bc of his off field persona a bit…no doubt he's a very good man, he's adopted like 10 kids or something, very charitable, involved in his church, etc…but UGA has had more player arrests than anyone other than Florida in the last 5 years, it's crazy! How is that not bigger news? Maybe bc they're not in the national title talks? I don't get it.

Also crazy are the expectations of the SEC boosters and fans, the guy almost lost his job last year and win 10 games, ridiculous.
Those crazy expectations are why the SEC is so good. If all us fans put that much pressure on coaches and administration we would most likely be real good right now.

You're right, high expectations and hiring new coaches  every few years is working great for Ole Miss.

I don't get why you haven't grasped why we fell off. It's not because Howard wasn't "cool" enough to get kids to come here and we were getting out recruited by Cristobal because he could quote Jeezy lyrics. Money is the reason why (I don't blame you for this…yet, but I damn well will in 5 years when you're out of school and working). We didn't pull the trigger on the stadium at the height of the economy and coming off our bowl win in 2007. If we had, we'd be in the freaking Big East right now and FIU would have never beaten us. We played in the worst facility in the nation, have a sh*tty weight room and little else to offer a player, the story about how we were gonna build it was getting old and EVERYONE else in the game could recruit against us and say we're delusional about the stadium and it wasn't happening.

Look at the cycle of recruiting classes. Howards staff recruited Some good players, we had some great teams back then.. They didn't forget how to recruit kids, they lost their leverage.

We need a few things…an academic center and a new weight room Are tops of the list. Who is paying for that? PEOPLE WITH HIGH EXPECTATIONS! Open up your wallet.

You play Wilbert the 1st half.  If we are down > 21 points you give Curtis and Bracewell the 2nd half.  We need to make sure we have QB's with game experience next year.

Neither Curtis or Bracewell will start next year. It will be either MG3, or another recruit who could be JUCO or a ftic freshman.

I am not sold on that.  Lets get the QB's that are actually on our roster experience.

Teambeer is the most knowledgeable FAU sports fan I know, way smarter than me.

If i ever am able to give extra money to the school i will but for now i am student so i can do i complain and show up to games. If you were on campus still and talked ot players you would understand how disconnected Howard was he never went out and really grinned to bulid relationships with kids to get them to commit to the school. It just shows by the lack of talent on the team yea we some good players but we are in the state of Florida you could picks names out of a hate and find talent here.

I think the real question isn't asking the players we have on the roster right now, it should be asked of the kids that didn't go to FAU in 2008/2009. Those kids you are talking to chose to come here, so there must have been something for them.

And Ole Miss has had 3 coaches in 5 years and compiled a record of 26-34…they actually had a good year or two in there but since it wasn't a National Title (which they haven't won since 1960 something) it wasn't good enough. Houston Nutt won 9 games with Ed Ogeron's players and then finsihed his career there 2-10. These things take time man.

The good thing is that we don't have ANY boosters that are capable of getting Pelini out before he has time for his recruits and system to take root.

Either way, it's great you support and go to the games, we need more students like that and I actually think it's awesome that you want the coach fired after his first loss  ;D It's ridiculous, but it's awesome.

First I do not want to fire Pelini i just thought we would be way farther along and i am just not fan of of the things he has done as head coach so far.
In the case of the Ole Miss the problem their is there fans do not care enough. They are more concerned with the grove and winning a tailgate then football games.
