Game Week Thread: FIU @ FAU - 11/16/12 @ 8:00 PM

I heard on some radio station (AM 760?) that there is a BOGO ticket offer for the FAU/FIU game.  Does anyone have further information on this, as I cannot find it on the Web, despite mad Googling.  I have a slew of relatives coming in for the Thanksgiving Holiday, and would love to take them to see the Owls!

Your best bet Ungaio is to call the ticket office to find out, or go to the fausports page.

Guess they didn't see you efforts against Navy (who lost to Troy)and WKU (who was the only team to not torch our mediocre D). FIU's D has given up a high of 48 and a low of 28, except against WKU who could only put up 14 (7 of which resulted from a bad long snap that put them within the 5 yard mark).

Just a couple points of clarification needed on the above please, not following where you are going…….

Navy ran for 328 yards against Troy, and put up 31 points. We gave up 246, and allowed 24 points.  What exactly is your point?

FIU has given up an average 169.3 yards per game. What does a high of 48 mean?

FIU better be ready for this game….I have the feeling FAU has turned the corner.

Teambeer is the most knowledgeable FAU sports fan I know, way smarter than me.

The most they've given up in a single game is 48 points.

Still, as we've seen over the years, all bets are off when it comes to this game. It doesn't matter how well or how poorly either team is doing… usually both teams get up for this game. I wouldn't be surprised if we go into the half 7-7…

Either points or the amount of students that show up to their football games.  48 with the band and a couple students that thought it was a soccer game, 28 with only the band.

I would suspect that FIU will try and double-cover Dukes and force Wilbert to throw to some of his other receivers. That could be FIU's downfall in this game.

I'd probably put double-coverage on Dukes too.

But we still have Stoshak, Hankerson and Dorvilus who has all made big plays too… so there's a lot to consider.
