To field a team, but thats about it.
Game planning for FAU this week should be so simple its not even funny. Stop Dunbar, cutoff the short pass. Riley has a bum arm, he CANNOT burn us deep.
I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick @$$ and I'm out of bubble gum.

"Riley can still play QB. If I can take him out for 20 minutes and get him warmed up, he can make every throw we want him to make. But, it's the wear and tear of getting through a practice. Our guys throw 100-150 balls a day. As we go through a season, he's still an option. He'll be used as kind of an offensive utility player. He'll play a little bit of everywhere.
There was absolutely nothing wrong with the surgery and the rehab of the (2007) surgery one bit. Matter of fact, he went through the whole process and worked out the summer before his true freshman year. We had a throw count on him. He went to the Texas high school all-star game and had a great time, but it was just him and one other kid. He probably threw too many balls that week, and that's when the elbow problems kind of started.
On top of that, another separated shoulder and another broken arm the last game (of 2009). Eventually, it has affected his ulnar nerve. Basically, (pointing) mine and yours tracks through here. His flops back and forth across. The doctors said if he were to remain at QB for the rest of his career and have to make the magnitude of the throws that it takes, he'd probably have to have Tommy John surgery. He said 'I don't want to go through anymore rehab.'"
On a side note:
The line has quickly moved to -9.5 Owls

UNT hasn't had a good team since 2004, but the games with FAU have always been close, with the exception of a blowout win in '08.
2009: 4 pt. FAU win
2007: 10 pt. FAU win, but Owls were down by 10 midway through the 3rd
2006: 1 pt. FAU win
2005: 1 pt. FAU win
That 9.5 point line makes me uncomfortable. That said, there's no excuse for losing this one.
