"Where's the Beef"

Post

As I see it Pat Chun has yet to contribute to FAU athletics in any meaningful way.
  • Average attendance for football in 2012 was dead last in the Sun Belt.
  • Average attendance for 2013 was second to last in Conference USA.
  • Revenue from ticket sales decline from 2012 to 2013.
  • Gifts or contribution to FAU athletics declined from 2012 to 2013.
  • Loyal coaches from every major sport have either resigned or fired.
  • State of the art weightroom hasn't materialized.
  • Failed effort to sell GEO Group generous donation to community.
  • Only division I program in FBS without a stadium sponsor.
Your bio mainly focuses on how you lead major multi million dollar capital campaign for athlethics at Ohio State and you have been given plenty of latitude as the Head Guy…come on Mr. Chun "Where the Beef"

Love the troll from the guest account…

As far as I see it, Chun has brought a quite a bit of change to the entire athletic department (through various avenues).  This next 12 months is where, I think, we see if those changes are going to be beneficial or not.  He didn't inherit the greatest program when he came here.  Since arriving he has made many changes, however it takes time for these changes to take effect.  I'm not defending him by any means, I just think much like we can't judge the football team until after this coming game, I don't feel that we can fairly judge Chun until after this academic year.

I am happy with the changes he's made with the football scheduling for upcoming seasons, getting us away from the inherited 'body bag' games.  We will see in the next 12 months if there is a stadium sponsor, improved athletic facilities, increased ticket sales, etc.

I'll wait now to be trolled by more guest accounts…

Did FIU storm the field after they beat Wagner?

Really? Who is sponsoring FIU Stadium?

Who is sponsoring University of Miami's on campus stadium?
Numerous teams don't have an on campus stadium.
You are talking out of your ass. I am glad the GEO group sponsorship was abandoned. It wasn't a good idea.  It was unpopular across the board.
You're obviously a trouble maker and don't appear to have good intentions.

I don't know about some of your points…but firing loyal coaches or getting your own people in place when across the board our athletics with the exception of every other year for baseball is a joke.  It's time that if a coach can't make a winner we move on to a knew person instead of hanging onto them because its cheaper.

Yes, loyal coaches are not hard to find. There are thousands. Loyalty doesn't win sporting events.
I've seen very loyal employees get terminated from their jobs because they can't do the work. It's a good attribute to have but it isn't a job skill.

And our teams across the board were being dominated (except baseball) at the SunBelt level due to bad recruiting AND bad coaching. Changes had to be made anyhow and especially with the move UP into CUSA!

Not bad guesses. Ignore them. If they're not willing to sign up, why waste time on them?
