Looks like there is a lot of depth in the backfield. hopefully Edgecomb comes back strong. He brings a more physical presence to the tailback position and will be a nice change of pace when Pierre needs a breather.
It is a little troubling that the team won't have a true fullback with both fullback size and toughness. I like that Rose has the size. He could be good if he gets to be more physical. He appears to have far more natural size and ability than Sanchez, but Sanchez had great heart and played way bigger than his size. The run game should be interesting next year. GO OWLS!!!
A true FB is on the way. Brandon Ward from Sandalwood HS in Jacksonville, FL. At 5'11" 228lbs, 4.7 40, is built like a prototypical FB, has nice hands & is a punishing blocker that loves contact. He will be joining the team this year as a walk-on. He is a very tough, strong & smart kid, earning a Bright Futures scholarship, & doesn't have an ego that needs to be maintained. Just a hard working kid that likes to crack heads.
Signed
His Dad
Charles Ward
