He did start in the SEC. And guys like MCKnight and German would start at some bigger schools too. Maybe you need to give them a chance. AND WOULD IT KILL YOU TO PUNCTUATE?

Re: 2010 signing class

A lot of people not JUCO players, but for alot of people, JUCO allows for players to get their feet wet in college with athletics, and allows them to develop that focus they will need at the higher level.

Re: 2010 signing class

I agree Coach P. will make EVERY player earn his starting position. The JUCO guy's just have experience at a better (higher) level than the high school recruits. Justlook at the vids and there is a HUGE difference in the spreed and level of play at the JUCO level - no 145 lb. LB's out there!
Bringing them in pushes the level up in terms of size. strength, speed, experience and OVERALL competition, something MUCH needed for years out there.

Re: 2010 signing class

What division the JUCOS come from?
Is it IAA or division II ?
Why a JUCO is more prepared to play right away in Division IA? if they were playing at lower divisions were the competition does not equal the level of Division IA.
Could somebody explain?

Junior college is its own division. To generalize, the kids go to juco because they have behavioral, academic or personal issues that prevent bigger colleges from giving them scholarships. They usually play right away, as its only a 2 year cycle so when they finish their AA they are ready to step right in and play as juniors in college. Everyone in junior college isnt ready to step in and play d1, but the ones that get scholarships to play are expected to contribute as you only get to play them for 2 years.

Re: 2010 signing class

Cam Newton went to JUCO. Actually quite a few Division 1 players did. Its a good way to get half your education done, and without a majority of the stress.

It's also a helluva lot cheaper. ahahha. It can also be an easier adjustment.
