FAU FOOTBALL COACHES NOW FBS POWER 5 LEVEL - NOT FCS LEVEL WITH NO HC EXPERIENCE TO BOOT!
OH, AND THEY RECRUIT WAY BETTER TOO!!!!! HOW MANY OF THEM HAVE RECEIVED NATIONAL RECRUITING HONORS!!!! JUST WAIT TIL THEY START WINNING AND THE NFL REALLY STARTS CALLING FAU, BE EVEN BETTER THAN WKU!!!!!Posted On: May 21st 2017, 7:24 PM #368897
I get that the level of coaching is vastly improved but Charlie's recruiting plan to not get JUCOs really set us back more than people realize. We are so thin on depth and talent on both sides of the lines, the scrub starter from last year or Mr. Overrated are going to be running for their lives while opposing RBs and QBs will be running to the endzone (see MTSU game last yr). This isn't a joke anymore guys. FAU football is bad. Really bad. And has been for years now. I have really lost hope with this program. I think there is still a small window of opportunity to turn this thing around but it HAS to start this year. But despite all that, I still feel no excitement or optimism for the upcoming season. Really expecting another 3-9 effort. We can say all we want about a new coach like we did with Pelini and scrub Partridge but the result seems to always remain unchanged.Posted On: May 21st 2017, 8:49 PM #368898
Watches watered down spring game and decides true Sophomore QB in only his 2nd semester of college football is overrated.

BUT THEY HAVE NOT.
They are and will,be better than last year, just from scheme and coaching, but the play limitations and "flag football" tackles of the QB severely limited tho O - and probably by design, why show NAVY ANYTHING???
These Coaches are smarter and better strategists than Charlie and ESPECIALLY Coach ROC will ever hope to be!
Give 'em a chance guys, I believe they will make us very proud and happy as THEIR futures depend on this gig BIG TIME!

130 UAB
126 Charlotte
110 Rice
106 FAU
100 North Texas
91 FIU
89 Marshall
========
On a side note, this is why this countdown is trash:
FAU : "If focused, Kiffin could help FAU contend for a conference title."
FIU: "Davis is a widely respected coach, but it may take more than one season to help FIU surpass last year’s four-win total…"
Then why rank them higher!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Well according to VSIN.com sports book FAU will open up as a 21 point dog VS Navy.
I am taking that all day.Posted On: May 31st 2017, 4:09 PM #369031
That's exactly what Vegas wants. They are not in the business of predicting football games, they are in the business of getting equal number of bets on both sides of the bet. To a casual bettor who knows nothing about FAU or even what FAU is, the line needs to be attractive to pick FAU so that all the bets do not fall on the other side and create risk.

Not true, they make the vast majority of their money on the vig, any difference on either side is a bonus but it is typically made on the favorite. Mark is 100% correct.Local Owl said
Putting money on something I know nothing about seems such a gamble. Actually Mark, Vegas is in the business of taking in more money than they dish out. That is how those billion dollar casinos are built. As for the line…I want to wait to see what both teams look like come Fall. Just a Crap Shoot right now.

Take that bet all day, before the line goes way down. I predict final line under 14.
GO OWLS!
