Just to make sure we're talking apples to apples.

And maybe should be a different topic, but what year will Emmons be? He played as a true FR at Alabama, transferred and played a year of JuCo, then sat out what I would assume would be a RS year. So is he going to be a JR in 2019?
Transfers have not been a huge factor for the most part, but just trying to figure out best-case how long we ***might*** have some of these guys who were so highly recruited coming out of high school.

And what is up with the JUCO WR's actually committing, signing, qualifying, registering, showing up AND THEN WALKING before playing a down???? WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE? Does anyone have any info on this serious issue?Posted On: Mar 19th 2019, 7:12 AM #385554
JUCO.
I have said repeatedly that they mostly do not work out.
Many have major issues coming out of high school and a year of college with very little support in the middle of nowhere typically does not prepare them for big-time college football.
Go look at Pelini's classes and for every Bryant, there are 3 guys who you have never heard because they never played a down.
It's why out of 33 signees Lane only took three this cycle.
With the popularity of the transfer portal and their NCAA making it a tad easier to play right away expect less and fewer schools to touch JUCO.

I assume he has to sit out a season. What are the odds he ever plays a down for FAU?Posted On: Mar 18th 2019, 11:56 PM #385553
Unless there is something we do not know about he will have to sit a year and will have two years after that.
Ashley is transferring because he struggled to find the field at Auburn.
He was a highly rated player coming out, but played at like 3-4 different high schools and never has really settled down.
I am more confident in transfers than any JUCO players.
