FIU had a decent, relatively close game going into the late third quarter. Then the doors came off.

From what I have read, UNT's two formerly national rushing leaders combined for around 80 yards. And its QB is apparently horrible. No passing game.

Heck, even in Troy's debacle, one of its rushers had 110 yards or so on the ground against USC.

UCF actually tore down the goalposts yesterday! I know one poster on here was at the game, so maybe he could enlighten us on the experience. Oh and an Orlando cop shot dead a UCF cop at the game.....quality!

Yep it is true, the fans jumped on the field and tore the goalposts down after winning, i'd like to see what we do now when we actually win a big game. I was only about 200 yeard from where the undercover cop was shot. He was getting beaten up by some drunks and then took his gun out and shot it in the air. Another cop didnt know that guy was undercover and shot him three times. It was an up and down day to say the least, cop was only 27 yrs old.
Ater the tore the posts down they actually let them carry them out the stadium. The last time i saw a piece of the goalpost was about an hour after the game being carried around the parking lot by drunk fraternity brothers.
I'm still in shock that the guy died and i think it will change how people tailagte now after something like this happens.

Those goal posts cost something like $4,000 apiece. Troy fans tore down two of them after the first big home win (Marshall), and one of them after Missouri (cops protected the second one). Both times they were carried up the stands, under the upper deck, over fences, through gates and through the streets - usually ending up at fraternity houses.

The university did not seem to mind at all. In fact, the head coach encouraged the fans to tear them down if he got a win against then-No. 17 Mizzou. I guess he figured his win would not come true.

After the game, I got two huge bolts that held the posts into the ground. I got some laughs explaining what they were to the screeners at the Dothan airport. :)

It was one of those "neat to experience" moments. Hopefully, FAU will have its time soon.

It'll happen BMarkey. I can't say when, but when we get one of these OOC games against one of the big boys at Lockhart….look out :)
UCF was just relieved to finally break that 17 game jinx of losing. Must have felt good. There are some very faithful fans over there who can now EXHALE.

We should have rushed Hawaii's field although we were away.. ;D
