I have never even HEARD of Andrew Bolognese??
Yeah, wow, who?
From the FAU Sports website:
6'2 / 195.
"2011: Joined the team in the spring…bringing the list of quarterbacks to five.
2010: Played for Matt Griffin at Murray State University where he was a travel squad member and where he earned scout team player of the week honors.
High School: Played for Rodney Torrance at Space Coast High School where he earned first team All-Space Coast on the defensive side of the ball where he recorded two interceptions…two-time offensive MVP…tossed 13 touchdowns and threw for 1,350 yards…rushed for 470 yards and six scores…two-sport athlete (football and basketball a sport he also earned MVP honors)…graduated in the top-nine percent of his high school class."
So… yeah.

That's the second time you've made comment like that about Flessner on this board, which leads me to believe you either have never watched the throwing sessions the QBS have been having or you have an axe to grind, because you're way off base. He is not the only one of the QBs you've been disparaging, though. Noticing in your past posts, only two QBs seem to be good enough according to you, and certainly none of the new ones.big said

I can't imagine him pulling scholarships like that…it's murder on recruiting when you get a rep like that, especially at our level.
I think talking to Wilbert and Kooi (after the spring tryouts) and explaining to them that there isn't a spot for them on the squad, here are our options. I'll give you a medical scholarship for that bum shoulder you've got (we've all seen him throw!) and you can finish your degree here at FAU…OR we'll allow you to transfer elsewhere. One would hope that as 5th yr students at FAU they are close to graduation, they can see the end of the road and get their degree and move on. HIGHLY unlikely they just tell them to get packing.

Look at all of the programs who cut players and scholarships. Alabama, LSU, Tennessee and South Carolina, all seem to be recruiting well.
Not to be a jerk but this is the problem with the way you look at our program and recruiting and why we never agree. Those schools you mentioned will get big time recruits NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO. I feel like you have no concept of where our program is or its reputation. I know we should be "shooting for the stars and falling on the moon" or whatever was posted but reality needs to kick in sometimes.
We are a 10 year old program that just got into a new stadium that gained a lot of traction for us reputation wise in South Florida, however we are no Alabama or South Carolina yet. Kids dont grow up dreaming of going to FAU. We cant just cut scholarships from under kids while they are in school….thats a ridiculous notion. We have made commitments to them and thier families…I as an alumni would not stand for that decision personally.
Teambeer is the most knowledgeable FAU sports fan I know, way smarter than me.

I have overheard that Graham is staying due to his leadership qualities and the other senior will be asked to leave. I have not heard anything about Curtis but understand the Kane is doing well but has some shoulder pain.
1) Not surprised if Kooi got the boot. People have said he has attitude problems. I don't know; best I can say is that he looks like a dude who has attitude problems. Which isn't worth anything. He might be a saint and just have one of those faces.
2) Kane is doing well but has shoulder pain? Is he even on campus yet? I guess he would be if he was enrolled for Spring classes.
