Good luck with your treatments and fight hard. Always remember that even though the burrowing owl is small in stature, they are big in fight.  Get yourself better so you can make it down for coach's last game, we'll save a seat for you

Bummer, I was just told that I will miss the October 15th opener and possibly 2 more games.  I have been fighting tonsil and thyroid cancer for 5 months now and just found out that my radiation treatments will not end until October 27th.  I have been explaining to my Radiation Oncologist that I must be ready for my travels down to FLA for the opening of FAU's stadium–looks as if they did not understand how important this was to me, ha, ha ???  I understand that my health is important; however this is tough to swallow-no pun intended ;)

The good news is that one of my friends in Vero wanted tickets to take his Son to his first FAU game and I gave him my Oct. 15th tickets (and in return he is going to purchase me some souvenirs and take tons of pictures).

The main reason I am writing this message is to offer my 2 seats in Section 110 for the Middle TN game to someone that may need a lift in their life.  If anyone knows of someone that needs their spirits lifted (someone that has lost their job, someone that may be sick, etc), please let me know?

Owl4ever, you are truly a special person. Sometimes I think this world is rougher than it should be…and then people like yourself give me hope and inspiration. All I wish is only the best in your necessary journey…god bless fellow Owl, and thank you.

Good luck! Focus on your treatments. There are a handful of home games this season and there will likely be plenty of seats after October 15th. Get well enough to really enjoy the experience so it's worth it!

Tickets for Middle TN game have found a home.  A fellow Nestor and Alum was in the need due to being laid off from his job and other bad luck.  I will look forward to meeting up with everybody at the tailgate parties during the Nov 5th game Vs. Ark State.

Hey All,

I wanted to update you on my latest news with my cancers and also include a pic of my hospital room here at UNC (decked with FAU gear and mohawk).

First of all, I did make it down to the Ark State game and the stadium is beautiful.  I completed my radiation 2 and 1/2 weeks ago and just found out last week I have AML, an aggressive form of Acute Leukemia which requires many rounds of chemo (first round of 2 drugs 24 hours a day for 7 days).  If the chemo kills all bad and good cells, they will hope my counts come back and then they can do a bone marrow stem cell transplant.

I just wanted to update everybody and also offer my for the last game of the year (I will sell for $20 each Section 110, Row E, Seats 1 & 2).  Thanks for your continued support and prayers.
