Action around the Belt - Todays games
MTSU beats ASU 24-7 (good for us cuz we beat MTSU already)
Troy beat N Texas 45-7 DAMN we'd better practice a LOT for that Dec 1st game vs Troy!
And FAU (what are we doing?) BARELY winning 10-9 going into halftime

Troy takes it 45-7 and stay undefeatd in the Belt.
Middle wins it 24-7 and moves to 2-1 & are in th Middle of things.
Makes our game with the Cajun in the second half very important.
Come on Owls!!

I don't think you guys can afford to underestimate ULM, stAte, or Troy. All are capable of knocking FAU off the top of the league standings. Troy especially being at home. I don't think FAU can beat Troy on the road. No Sun Belt team has ever won at Movie Gallery since it's renovation except for Middle Tennessee and Arkansas State.
Again, FAU still struggles to beat teams that run the football. Troy is so good at doing that.

Next week, we do have to face Dawson (a good runner), but we have done fairly well at home this year, so I am not to worried yet - ULM hasn't shown me much to cause any concern.
Any team has to have those close calls during the course of a season.

Actually we were doing fairly well stopping the run, till we loss 4 starters on defense, including our run specialist - right now we have a bunch of young guys in there having to step-up.

That happens when you aren't conditioned enough to beat teams the run the football. The Cajuns rushed for 310 yards. There is no way FAU did a good job stopping the run. There is a way that FAU stopped the Cajuns from scoring in the Red Zone. That is the more legitimate reasoning why FAU won today. It might also have something to do with the three turnovers that U of L committed.

We have always had a hard time stopping a good scrambling QB, period and it has everything to do with the style of defense we play.
We will beat ULM at home next week by the way - to go 4-0 in the Belt. I know you are hoping for us to lose so that Middle has a chance to climb back in the Belt race, but Troy will remain our nemesis for now and will remain the team to beat in the belt.

Whatever, it seems like you have all the answers.

EXACTLY!! That's what I've been saying all along. Your defense isn't fit enough to stop a team that runs the football. The style of defense you have doesn't prepare them to be sufficient enough to stop a team that runs the football. MT runs the football well under Dasher, but FAU wouldn't be able to beat Middle Tennessee if Dasher was the quarterback. Unfortunately, our coaches didn't know that at the time so FAU won with our predominate passing quarterback under Craddock.
We do have to hope for an FAU loss. It's coming. Someone's gonna' bring your team back to Earth. You seem to think you're too good for anyone else in this league. Someone's going to knock your team off that high horse. It's going to be somebody that can run mostly AND pass when they need to. I can't wait until next weekend.
Suddenly you squeak by a team your own board members said you'd beat by 17, 20+, and even 45-10. Never happened but all of sudden FAU is the "team to beat". What DO you know? I know that FAU is not the team to beat. Troy is. Troy didn't get their butts wore out by Oklahoma State.
