It's great, that Rusty is getting a lot of attention and awards for his talent. But my question to everyone is, what will this mean for FAU football, if Rusty does not get drafted into the NFL? I mean how disappointed were we all, when Frantz didn't get drafted.

It just means we'll have to wait a little longer. Eventually someone will be drafted. For now, Rusty and Harmon are FAU's best candidates for the 2009 draft.

That being said, unless Rusty has a huge season, there's a decent chance he won't be drafted. He could very easily go as a FA like Frantz. Coach can say he's "first round material" until he's blue in the face. Nobody in the football media is saying that, unfortunately. Tebow, Colt McCoy, and Bradford (at the least) should go before Rusty, even if they have a disappointing season in '09.
