You're absolutely right.  It has nothing to do with $40.  If it was $1 , that's too much to charge these guys.  These guys in a roundabout way did build that stadium.

Good to hear Rusty & Rob, and a host of others will be in town…Hopefully some of the recruits will get a chance to meet them - if that is allowed.

I know they can afford it, but I kinda feel like out of principal they shouldn't be asked. Now if they want to make a donation towards the athletics or football, of course that's totally different. I'm sure I'm in the minority with my thinking

I have a feeling like this was Rusty (and maybe Rob's) idea… not FAU's. Angelos probably just consented and said they could use the space if they paid for it, much like a student organization booking the Grand Palm or something.

Yes, it would be nice if FAU could come up with $2,000+ to feed these guys as a tribute to their hard work and to make up for broken promises. But we're always saying, "It would be nice if FAU ______________________" and the answer is always the same, "We would if the money was there."

Let's hope that this stadium can generate a significant amount of revenue so we can start to dig ourselves out of this hole. The stadium really should be the centerpiece of entertainment in the city… not just football but a steady flow of big concerts would be great as well. You can make a boatload of cash off concerts, especially when there are 30k seats to be sold!

Unfortunately Boca instituted that arbitrary event cap because of traffic concerns. Well, the I-95/Spanish River exit should be open in 2015 and hopefully at that point there won't be any more excuses.

Was told by a source that FAU now has 3 active people on the Official 53 man roster in the NFL. The source stated that this person will be the first Defensive player that FAU  ever had in the NFL on the active roster. Has anyone else got this news yet, trying to verify. What about it deadandunborn, teambeer, OWLAMERICA, Wright Walters does anyone know?  ???

As far as I know, FAU has two active NFLers (Rusty & Rob). Lestar Jean made the Texans roster, but is currently on IR. Mike Lockley is on the Jags practice squad. Thats it as far as i know.
