At this point I'd much rather be in the Sun Belt instead of C-USA or the MAC…. Who knows after next year FIU and UNT might be begging to come back to the Belt. I can hope right? :P
Hey… look at Idaho and NMSU. They'd do anything to go back in time and stay in the SBC.

You mean the article about App St and GA Southern?
Or the likes of Liberty n such?
I'd have no problem with App State & Ga Southern as they have small but very loyal fan bases (actually larger than ours). Liberty or any others, not so much.
I'd love Sam Houston St as well as App St and Ga Sou. This way TxSt isn't isolated, providing an excuse for them to jump… like we are right now sadly.
My plan would be to bring App St and Ga Sou and SH St along with Missouri St (only if they make a stadium expansion) into the SBC and add a conference championship game and brand itself as the SE's 2nd best conference.

You mean N Texas right? Texas St is in the WAC now. All except Missouri St would be good additions to SBC. I don't see any advantage to having them except for possible recruiting ties to the Midwest as they haven't made any waves in the FCS.
I think Furman or Wofford would be a good grabs if either were interested as that would cover South Carolina recruiting efforts.

No I mean Texas St, so that way they won't jump like we might and UNT has.
Ah, you mean Tx State from WAC to SBC. Could make sense as the WAC is a dying conference.
A year ago I saw the SBC as lowly mid-major. Now it looks like the SEC's little brother.

I thought Texas State is already coming to SBC play next year…

They are, I'm talking about when they join the SBC we can bring in Sam Houston St, so they won't jump out of our conference like UNT will.
We added Universtiyof Texas Arlington in the Belt, they aren't isolated. I personally wouldn't want Sam Houston State.
TeemBeer, I am talkinga about the article with Liberty, Georgia Southern and App State…dont want those schools.

While I give credit to App State and the football program, I just dont think the school is growing and dont think the football program is going to continue to grow…I think they have pretty muched maxed out and are where they will always be.
We need schools that are going to continue to grow and invest money into thier athletic programs. Schools like Western Ky, Georgia State, Texas State, etc are perfect because the sky is the limit. They have large enrollments that continue to grow. While I would have rather added Charlotte before anybody else…Coastal Carolina fits the bill to some degree.
