Love the winning attitude!  Sign Leach up already!  Angelos needs to get on his Key West attire and head South (and don't come back until he gets em inked) ;D

This sounds pretty encouraging....

Problem is if we can pay him.

Figure IF he even is acceptable to a pay cut were gonna have to shell out around 600K for him, plus 75K-100K per assistant. I think your looking at a Cool million Plus for him and his staff.

It would be money well spent, but I'm not sure if FAU will be willing to invest it.

You have to make a great investment to get a great return on that investment.  Leach is not going to be cheap; however we will have pretty quick returns (just in players wanting to come here).  If we secured Leach–the Big East, CUSA & SEC will fight over who gets FAU ;D ;)

He is a done deal for UCLA.

Ya, I was reading an article about all the coaches on "hot seat" and if UCLA comes calling we have no shot. Bring on Terry Bowden!

Hopefully I'm wrong, but there are too many other AQ schools out there who are going to need a coach next year for us to get lucky. Again, I hope I'm wrong and I hope Angelos is being proactive and at least TALKING to him.

Another reason I don't see us getting him is HS. I don't see him "approving" of the hire because of the "spread" offense. 'Tis a shame.

So I wouldn't be worried there.

Actually, yes I have. Went to visit a friend a few years back in Las Cruces. There was literally nothing to do there! You want to go out and have a good time, you're driving into El Paso, Texas.

I've heard that Albuquerque is a lot of fun though and has a great night life
