Ever been to New Mexico? It actually has a lot to offer.
GO OWLS!!!
Actually, yes I have. Went to visit a friend a few years back in Las Cruces. There was literally nothing to do there! You want to go out and have a good time, you're driving into El Paso, Texas.
I've heard that Albuquerque is a lot of fun though and has a great night life
Guess it just depends what you are into… my brother lives in Albuquerque and loves it. But he and his wife are into the outdoor activities; hiking, kayaking, camping, skiing, etc…

Las Cruces is the Ocala of New Mexico. Northern New Mexico is actually very nice. Lots to do there and the scenery is spectacular.
GO OWLS!!!

Northern New Mexico is particularly nice: Santa Fe and Taos are primo vacation destinations. You also have the mountains, great art galleries (and museums), beautiful scenery, generally low hunidity and excellent skiing, as well as the usual other outdoors pursuits.
Sounds like Colorado but everything has a Spanish name…
