attendance and game watching spots???

Yeh - where was that - I don't want to sit in the party pooper section when I come next weekend.
Fans did a great job last night - sounded very loud on TV.
I especially liked the "Classy ESPN" sign !

The crowd was OK, better then last game,I was very pleased that they moved the Students and Band to the side line, it helped the atmosphere and noise level.

No dirty looks in my section, but I do think some might think I'm a little nuts. Those empty seats make the best noise makers ;)

Just keep cheering folks, others will cacth on, I know it has in my section, since our first game in Lockhart.

Someone had the same idea with the back of the seats which I was standing on - I nearly fell down at first (due to the surprise), then I realized what they were doing :).

The student section was MUCH more energized than last season.

The dirty look people in my section (105) were not there last night.

I have a feeling that the seats they were sitting in someone elses seats or just took them.

9827 people attended the game. While it's still poor, it's very encouraging to see the boost for playing ULL. There were lots of reasons not to attend (game on TV, Wednesday night game, Lockhart), but ~40% more people showed up. I hope that the weekend games will be well-attended.

If we would have been playing football for decades in an on-campus facility this would be a problem. However, it's very clear what could be done to boost attendance. If we really wanted to, we could schedule a "home" game at Dolphin stadium with any of the more established state teams and fulfill the requirement. At this point it many not be a good investment to advertise heavily as students pay for the tickets regardless of if they attend.
