Florida_Owl what kind of surprises are you referring to, good, bad, share your thoughts. Hutton seems to think that is still so so for us. I disagree, I feel we will have enough experience and depth to be in decent shape on the O-Line.

My sentinments exactly…what i was eluding to is that we have two top notch lineman who sat out:

Ryan Wischnefski (6-2, 310) and Dennis Bowling (6-3, 313).

These guys both were courted by mid major and major programs…Wischnefski actually de-committed from NC State, whom at the time was doing very well…not that it matters, but these guys are above this league…yes they are young, but given the whole year they had which our other two top line men did not have, we are in good shape…BUT that is not all…here's the other reason i say we will be better than "projected":

Preston Kendrick 6-1, 310lb SO, Broderick Bolton 6-3, 292lb SO

Did not see alot of them this year…however, again, another year of development behind two seniors…everyone cant play…its that simple…these guys are going to compete…now there is one more thing here….and that is the other freshman:

Devon Irwin 6-6, 255lb FR, and Kevin Miller 6-3 304lb FR

Three things are very appearant here:

1. High level of competition
2. ALOT of depth
3. Raw Talent

Deeper than we ever have been…bigger than we ever have been…not as young as we were (except for the loss of two seniors)…and more raw talent than we have ever had…the only thing out to the jury is how far along a couple are in skill development…thats the only ? mark…i dont see any other way to look at it but as a step up…rather than down or being "so so"…

The potential is definetely there for the line to be solid, it will interesting to see how the young guns develop during the off-season, their learning curve should be higher, but this is still a veru tough offensive system to learn and make adjustment to.

The OL will be a work in progress for the 07 season and might have some very similar results like 06, which wouldn't be all ba considering losing two vey good linemen.
