My vote is a toss up between Rusty and Jared.  Both were instrumental in many firsts for this team.

That game in Hawaii with the comeback for the win was unbelievable and going as far as we did in the DI AA Championships that early in the program.

It is hard not to say Rusty with 2 bowl wins.

It's a toss between Frantz and Rusty for me but my "favorites" were probably Jared Allen, Polo when he was hot and Chris Laskowski (he reminded me of a smaller Zach Thomas).

We didn't realize how good he was until we had 6 years of bad kickers follow him.  ;D

Haha, in that case how about the center for Rusty?
Teambeer is the most knowledgeable FAU sports fan I know, way smarter than me.

Great point, Nick Paris was an unbelievable center for us, better than George Guffy…and you really notice the difference now…know why we don't run the shotgun?? I do.

I think you have to go with someone who was on the 07 and 08 team...I think the two best players on that team were obvious between Frantz and Rusty...Nick Paris may have been the most irreplaceable but thats a different thread

I have to go with crissenger hill myself. He should have been playing on sundays. If he played all four years he would have had ridiculous numbers. I do not think FAU has had any other play as exciting as him on the field.

The games vs MTSU and Hawaii and then the D-IAA playoff run were really special.  And the fact that he was 3-0 vs FIU  ;D

I do appreciate what Rusty did as well.

I'd agree with Walty here.  Maybe its just because those were the years I was in school, but that playoff run was amazing.  Allen had a cannon for an arm and I really wish he was able to lead us in DI play.  I'll never forget watching the FAU vs. NAU playoff game at Murphy's with a packed house of FAU fans, or tailgating and screaming my lungs out at the Colgate game at Lockhart.
