Kevin Smith 14 games 450 carries
Ray Rice 13 games 380 carries

His amount of carries could also affect his draft status  (some GMs think a RB only has a set number of carries in his career).  Plus, I think to answer the UCFer I think the author put Smith as a disappointment for:

1. Not helping his team to a bowl victory
2. Not getting the record

The reason why I said on another thread that FAU could have beaten UCF this year was Kyle Israel. The reason why UCF could only score three points besides a lousy day by their FG kicker was that Israel could not hit the broad side of a barn even when he had time.

He had a TE six yards from him open in the middle with no pass rush and he threw it low and behind him for an incomplete pass. With him as my QB, I might have run Smith 500 or 550 times.
