After Houston got annihilated by Army Briles jumped ship again and may go to FSU.  His coaching trajectory makes no sense, in the article from ESPN he was a top coaching candidate for Texas st.  Had Kiffin left he may have been our head coach,  but he left to be closer to home.  He may now be moving back to Tallahassee of all places.  He’s an opportunist like Taggart,  he’s probably thinking if he does well one year and Taggart is ousted he may get the FSU job.  He may also just be a glorified offensive coordinator, tbh he lacks something his old man had and that shows with these dumb moves. Now ask yourself if you are a 5 star recruit,  how can you trust these snake coaches who promise you the world and dip out at the first chance they can get.  I know he did a lot for us,  but he left us high and dry claiming my Alma mater and family and home but dips out the next year from that same Alma mater.  My thing is do it right do your 2 -3 years and dip out and you have the exposure, prove you can win,  and prove consistency and loyalty to a program.  You can also clean your tarnished name, which  from the horrific stories of rape at Baylor him and his father should’ve been banned from coaching period.  Overall he saw us as a stepping stone to clear his name,  we had a prolific offense and we were happy.  Besides all that the lack of loyalty to a program gets me,  his antics prove this.  Do you think Briles is an Opportunist like Taggart?  Had Briles been FAUs coach after Kiffin would it had been ok considering the baggage?

I don’t see what the confusion is here.  He left FAU to go to his alma mater in the AAC which is a move up and now he has the opportunity to go to FSU in the P5 ACC.  He didn’t want Texas St. Pretty straight forward upward climb.

If you don’t like him because of the Baylor scandal that’s a different conversation. He wasn’t implicated in it but he should have know something wasn’t right but I believe you are still innocent until proven guilty in this country or has that changed?

I don’t know if he is the answer for FSUs issues but it’s a step in the right direction.

2 years ago he was making $350k and is going to be close to tripling that, hard to fault his moves for that.  

I hope we can move on from Briles conversations. He used us, we used him, he's moving back up to levels he should be at after the Baylor fiasco. We thank him for helping with the one magical year and move on.

No he's going to bail out Taggart…resigned after they got destroyed by Army… 

I think it’s funny people get angry for people taking a promotion, everyone would do the same if you could double and triple your income.

The Canes fans bashing Diaz for leaving for Temple is another hilarious example.

Yeah it’s thing I will never understand about sports fans. Saying someone has no loyalty for a better job and pay raise. But if put in the same situation everyone would make the same decision in their profession 

The guy did plenty for us… Without him no way we go 11-3.  N-O W-A-Y.

Exactly, he didn’t “owe” us anything.  He was a big part in the best season we have ever had.  Good luck to him, keep your nose clean.
